Lake Country is a relatively new municipality that lies between Venron and Kelowna.  Lake Country includes the four previously unincorporated communities of Winfield, Okanagan Centre, Oyama, and Carr's Landing.  The area was incorproated in 1995 to form the new district municipality.  Each area is distinctly different and gives you great choices for an area to call your forever home.  

 

With a population of approximately 12,000, the area is defined by Okanagan Lake as the western boundary of the municipality, while the entirety of Wood Lake and the southernmost portion of Kalamalka Lake are also encompassed by it.

Oyama, BC:

Oyama is known for its pristine lakes and inviting hospitality,  where residents are surrounded by large acreages and numerous rural orchards.   Obama has a truly country feel, yet is close to both Vernon and Kelowna.  Fabulous scenery here and a smaller town ambience. 

 

Winfield is located at the southern point of Lake Country. Winfield lies the closest to Kelowna as well as the centre of Lake Country’s downtown, therefore residents have the best of both worlds:  a quiet, rural lifestyle only minutes from all the amenities you could ever want.  Incredible views in Winfield as well.
